The '11th Aerobics Marathon on Aids', at Amari Watergate Hotel,
Bangkok, took place on Sunday 30th September 2007, to raise funds for Thai
charities.
The event supports the Chalerm Prakiat HRH Princess
Siridhorn School, for the education of children, whose parents have very
tragically passed away due to HIV infection, and also 'Baan Gerda', the
Children's Village project, which supports HIV-infected orphans in
Nongmuang, Lopburi Province. An impressive 900 aerobic marathoners
assembled in the hotel's ballroom to participate.
This annual
charity event is not only for a good cause, but also promotes exercise for
health. The 3-hour aerobics marathon, led by many famous instructors
providing ample encouragement, is coupled with contests for Best Female
& Male Dancer, Most Creative Costume and for the team with most
participants, making for a fun aerobics session!
The Aerobic Marathon on Aids in 2008 is scheduled for the 28th
September 2008 - so why not join in to keep fit and do a good
deed!
