Prime Minister Taksin Visits Beautiful Doi Angkhang
Prime Minister Taksin recently visited Angkhang to preside over the
Royal Project Board Meeting. At this meeting, a budget of 139 Million Baht
was given by the government to assist the development of the 11 Royal
Project Stations including Doi Angkhang.
Angkhang will be the first area receiving the money and investments are
planned investment in a number of areas. These include building a Tourist
Information Centre, improving the roads, ensuring that the natural beauty
of the area is maintained and promoting Angkhang.
The mountain location and cool climate make Angkhang an ideal escape
from the heat of the city. With the Royal Project and several hilltribe
villages to visit, there's plenty for visitors to do. In addition,
mountain biking, hill walking, mule riding and trekking are available as
well as more sedate activities such as bird watching.
