Active Luxury in Trang

The stylish and elegant Amari Trang Beach Resort, offers and opportunity to relax and get away from it all in five-star luxury.   Well-appointed sea facing rooms, a choice of restaurants with mouthwatering cuisine and the Sivara Spa where serious pampering abounds, make it easy to understand why guests might just want to take it easy and watch the world go by.

A "not-to-be-missed" experience is a full or half day trip exploring the stunningly beautiful islands of Trang, on the resort's luxurious forty five foot motor yacht.   Amongst the highlights are several magnificent reefs, with excellent snorkling, as well as a chance to visit the Morakot (Emerald) Cave, where you swim through a tunnel only exposed at low tide to access a "secret" beach in the center of a limestone outcrop.

The trip also includes a lunch stop on Koh Kradan, a "Robinson Crusoe" tropical island, where the there is a private day resort for guests of the Amari Trang Beach Resort only.   For lazy days relaxing on the powder white sand, the resort also operates a shuttle service several times a day.   The "Beach Club" has a small restaurant, a full range of water sports and equipment, as well as shower facilities.   These same islands provide excellent opportunities for diving and trips can be arranged from the resort's PADI dive center.  

Added fun for active types, the resort has kayaks, windsurfers and catamarans (Hobie bravo 12" and Hobie getaway 16.7"), which can be hired with optional professional instruction available by the hour.   There is a daily schedule of guest activities at the resort, with yoga, tai chi, aqua aerobics, volleyball and batik painting, among others.

The mangroves behind the resort can also be explored by kayak with a qualified resort guide - highlights include bird watching and a visit to the local fisherman's village.
